My wife saved my life ... several times ... including my musical life.

When I met Dyann, I was on a four-year hiatus from music, after the disappointment of Johnny's Dance Band.  So, I took over my father's antiques business.  In the early to mid sixties, Dyann had been a folksinger, playing The Gilded Cage, The Artist's Hut and The Main Point.  She worked and performed at The 2nd Fret and The Trauma, for Manny Rubin.  Later, she opened The Artefact on Bank Street - Philadelphia's first antiques & fine craft market with multiple dealers.

When she heard my music, Dyann said, "What the hell are you doin' in the antiques business?  You don't like it.  You're not very good at it.  You were obviously put on this earth to do music - so do it !"  That meant shaky ground financially, but she understood that.  I've been grateful to her ever since.  I love Dyann for many reasons.  This is a very big one.

Her poetry is inspired. We've collaborated and created some excellent songs together, two of which are on this page.  I'll Do The Cookin' uses imagery from our time in the islands.  Come On Home has the folk, country and gospel elements that were also Dyann's influence.  I consider Cookin' to be very high on the all time Best of TJ chart.

Very Truly Yours,
Tony Juliano
